Cleveland Mens CBX Wedge is designed with Precision For The Cavity Back Player. For the average golfer who plays cavity back irons, and more than 80 percent of golfers fall into that category, transitioning to blade-style wedges can pose some challenges. On the flip side, many of the wedges that are now being built to match cavity iron sets donaTMt have all of the spin technology that players need to perform their best, especially around the green. For that reason, Cleveland decided that it needed to create a premium, cavity back wedge to meet the needs of the masses, and the end result is the new CBX wedge.
While CBX wedges have the clean, classic shaping of many of the tour wedges that Cleveland has released through the years, they are packed with technology and forgiveness for the cavity back player. For starters, by using a cavity design as opposed to a blade design, engineers were able to reposition more than 70 grams of weight to the perimeter of the clubhead to maximize forgiveness.
Also new with the CBX wedges is their Dual V-Sole, which features a V shape on the sole from front to back to provide exceptional turf interaction as well as a heel-to-toe V Shape that features a wider toe for maximum forgiveness and a more narrow heel for versatility. CBX wedges also feature ClevelandaTMs Feel Balancing Technology, a design trait that removes weight from the hosel and enables the CG to be positioned less toward the heel and more in line more with the center of the clubface. The result is improved feel at impact and a tighter shot dispersion on full shots.
Finally, the Rotex Face Technology utilizes Tour Zip Grooves and a milling process that in unison allow players to impart optimal spin on every shot they play. ClevelandaTMs new CBX wedges, all of which are mid-bounce designs, are available in lofts ranging in two-degree increments from 46 to 60 degrees. They also come stock with the choice of a True Temper Dynamic Gold 115 steel shaft or ClevelandaTMs lightweight.
