Hideki Matsuyama is a Japanese professional golfer on the PGA Tour. He was born in Ehime, Japan on February 25, 1992. He is married and lives in Sendai, Japan.
He won the Asian Amateur Championship in 2010 and 2011. He has won the PGA Tour five times and the Japan Golf Tour eight times. Matsuyama became the world number 2 ranked player on the Official World Golf Ranking after his runner-up at the 2017 US Open.
His PGA wins include the 2014 Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance, the 2016 Waster Management Phoenix Open and in 2017 he’s won the World Golf Championships – HSBC Champions, The Waste Management Phoenix Open and the World Golf Championships – Bridgestone Invitational.
